Directions

This 100% Acrylic Latex provides a VERY durable, washable and breatheable finish that is fade resistant. Its satin flat sheen is ideal for hiding imperfections.

Use On

EXTERIOR: Concrete, brick, stucco, masonry NO Primer required. Primed wood and metal, prefinished siding, asbestos shingles. Do not apply on horizontal surfaces where standing water forms. Exterior Door Tip: If painting a door in which weatherstripping is under pressure tightly against the painted surface, it is advisable to use our Traditional Oil paint.

INTERIOR: Walls, ceilings, previously painted surfaces, etc., (a slightly higher sheen is better used on trim, doors, cabinetry for increased scrubability and aesthetic appeal. See our Interior Edition Latex)

Clean Up: Water

Tools: Roller, Brush, Pad, Spray

Coverage: approx. 400 sq. ft. (44m2).

Drying Time: (@ 20 C & 50% R.H.) Touch dry 1 hour. Recoat 4 hrs. Cures in 30 days. Care is to be taken until cured to ultimate hardness. Use non-abrasive liquid detergent or spray cleaner. Never use an abrasive scrub as it will form a shiny spot that will stand out.

Surface Preparation: Surface must be dry, clean, free of dust, grease, oil, wax, chalking from old paint, mildew and loose paint. Never use a pressure washer to wash surfaces prior to priming or painting. If a pressure washer was used –It will require up to a week of dry weather to thoroughly dry out prior to priming or painting (you will otherwise trap moisture under the paint and face peeling problems a year or two later)

Cleaning: Wash away greases, oil, waxes, dirt etc. using TSP.Rinse well
Removing mildew requires a 1:3 solution of bleach:water. Rinse well.

Sanding: Lightly sand high gloss areas with fine sandpaper.

Priming: Prime when appropriate. Concrete, brick, stucco, asbestos and masonry do NOT need to be primed, however during the warmer weather lightly wet the surface with water before the first coat of paint. EXTERIOR jobs involving peeling paint and other unsound conditions requires more surface preparation and the use of our Alkyd Primer. For INTERIOR, only NEW drywall requires our water based Primer. You do not require a primer when applying our latex paints over other old latex paints. However, if it has a high gloss this will require a minimal amount of sanding just to remove the sheen before applying the new latex. Special primers should be used prior to painting iron or ferrous metals that rust, galvanized metal or problematic wood knots.

Application: Stir thoroughly. Apply evenly with high quality applicator, when temperature is between 10¼C-30¼C and relative humidity is 50%. Do not apply dark colours in direct sunlight. Store a small amount of paint for inevitable touch ups.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Use with adequate ventilation. Keep from freezing.
